The global objective of this ERFP ad hoc action is to identify best practise examples of ecosystem services provided by native and local breeds, and identify and describe the specific characteristics and traits of the breeds for providing landscape management and ecosystem services. Accordingly, as a first step, the objective of this work package is to identify sources of information already available on all of these topics. Ideally, we would like to find scientific literature or official reports on the suitability of local breeds for providing ecosystem services. In addition, information available in different data bases (like EFABIS/DAD-IS) can be useful to detect the study cases.
